A 46-year-old man has died following a serious traffic crash in Mooloolah Valley.
Emergency services were called to Diamond Valley Road about 12.05am on January 24 after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a black Toyota Hilux utility.
The pedestrian, a Diamond Valley resident, was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police later confirmed he died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the Hilux, a 25-year-old Mooloolah Valley man, was not physically injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and is appealing for anyone with information, dashcam footage or who may have seen a person walking on the road prior to the incident to contact police.
