More than 100 properties are set to go under the hammer at the Sunshine Coast’s largest single-day auction event yet.

A variety of homes will be on offer at The Coastal Living Auction Event at Mercedes-Benz in Maroochydore on Sunday.

The event, in its 12th year, is hosted by the Coastal Living Network: a collective of Ray White offices at Maroochydore, Buderim, Mooloolaba, Kawana Waters and Nambour.

It will feature 103 properties, including a prize-winning home on more than 6000sqm at Doonan, a luxurious waterfront residence at Twin Waters, a mine operator’s 10-bedroom retreat at Kenilworth and a prime site where a prominent pink home once stood.

During the past month, the Coastal Living team has conducted more than 870 open homes, met more than 1200 prospective buyers and presented more than 60 offers to sellers, with 10 properties already selling or gone under contract prior to auction.

Ray White Mooloolaba and Kawana Waters director and auctioneer James Goldsworthy said those numbers reflected continued interest in local real estate.

“You don’t run 873 open homes and meet 1200 buyers in a soft market,” he said.

“There remains a lot of buyer interest and confidence.”

Behind the campaign sits Nurture Cloud, Ray White’s proprietary buyer-matching platform.

This property at Doonan will be among scores of homes on offer.

Ray White Maroochydore and Buderim principal Dan Sowden said the team had leaned on the platform to connect each property to prospective buyers across Ray White’s linked national database.

“Every one of these 103 properties has been matched against live buyer activity, not just listed and hoped for,” said

“It means all our properties are put in front of the most active buyers in the market. That reach is what gets our sellers results.”

This waterfront property at Twin Waters is in line to be sold.

Several of the properties have been re-launched to auction after earlier campaigns, which Ray White stated said was effective at re-engaging buyer interest.

Ray White also stated that the auction method continued to deliver results despite well-publicised market headwinds.

Ray White stated that Queensland auction campaigns were recording a 64.9 per cent success rate at day 45, compared with 39 per cent for private treaty.
