Coolum-based caravan manufacturer Zone RV is set to continue operating after terms for the sale of the business were agreed.

The company went into administration in December, with about 240 employees being made redundant later that month as it faced about $40 million in debts.

Last month Zone RV was placed in liquidation after creditors voted to wind up the company.

But administrators Cor Cordis have announced the business is set to be sold to Adventure Zone RV Pty Ltd, a company associated with Jamie Johnson of Essential Caravans.

“The transaction will see the business continue operating under new ownership,” a Cor Cordis media release said.

“The purchaser brings established industry capability and intends to incorporate Zone RV’s premium Australian-made product offering alongside its existing caravan operations.

“A deposit has been received and completion is scheduled for March 6. Customers will be contacted by the new owners following completion.”

Cor Cordis administrator Rahul Goyal said maintaining trading operations during the administration was critical to preserving value.

“Continuing to deliver caravans was the right strategy. Shutting the business down on day one would have been a poor outcome for customers, employees and creditors,” he said.

“Since the start of the administration, 41 caravans have been delivered, with a further two planned for delivery this week.”

He also acknowledged the contribution of employees who remained with the business.

“This outcome would not have been possible without the commitment and hard work of employees who stayed on during the administration,” Mr Goyal said.

“Their efforts were instrumental in demonstrating the strength and viability of the business to potential buyers.”

The media release said the focus in coming weeks would be on finalising documentation and facilitating the transition of Zone RV to the purchaser.

“Following completion, the liquidators will continue their investigations as outlined in the report to creditors. A further report to creditors will be issued in mid-April 2026,” it said.
