People in Palmview and surrounding areas were urged to ‘Stay Informed’ at 4.46pm yesterday. A fire is burning near Laxton Road. It is moving towards Palmview Conservation Park. ‎

People in the Obi Obi areas of Schultz Road, Kidaman Creek Road, Suicide Road, Slacks Road, Kirbys Road, Rose Gum Lane, and Nothling Lane were urged to ‘Stay Informed’ at 11.56am yesterday. A fire is burning near Kirbys Road. It is moving towards Schultz Road and Nothling Lane. ‎

People in the Tuckekoi area, at properties between Kenilworth Skyring Creek Road, Chinamans Creek Road and Ironstone Creek Road, were urged to ‘Avoid Smoke’ at 8.43am yesterday. Smoke is currently affecting properties between Kenilworth Skyring Creek Road, Chinamans Creek Road and Ironstone Creek Road. This is from a fire burning between Kenilworth Skyring Creek Road and Ironstone Creek Road. This fire is under control.

Thursday, November 2, 1pm: A bushfire warning for Beerwah and Nirimba has been cancelled, as of 4.07pm. Fire conditions have eased and crews are no longer required at the incident. Thursday, November 2, 1pm: Palmview and surrounding areas were issued an ‘Advice’ level bushfire warning, to ‘Stay Informed’, at 12.17pm.

A fire is burning near Laxton Road. It is moving towards Palmview Conservation Park. Firefighting aircraft are helping ground crews.

An ‘Advice – Stay Informed’ warning was still in place for Obi Obi and an ‘Advice – Avoid Smoke’ warning was in place for Tuchekoi.

Thursday, November 2, 10.15am: A stable patient was transported to Noosa Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Wust Road, Doonan, at 8.47am.

Thursday, November 2, 7.25am: Paramedics responded to a two-vehicle crash on Apps Road and Yandina Coolum Road at Maroochy River at 6.48am. No-one required treatment and transport to hospital.

Thursday, November 2, 6.15am: Three ‘Alert’ level fire warnings are still current for the Sunshine Coast region. They are ‘Stay Informed’ warnings for the Obi Obi and Imbil areas, and ‘Avoid Smoke’ for Palmview and surrounding areas.

Thursday, November 2, 6.15am: One female was assessed at the scene of a campervan fire on Minchinton Street, Caloundra, at 12.45am. The person declined transport to hospital.

Thursday, November 2, 6.15am: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a single vehicle went into an embankment at Eudlo 10.40pm.

Wednesday, November 1, 4.30pm: A fire warning for Obi Obi has been downgraded to a an ‘Advice’ level, for residents to ‘Stay Informed’.

Wednesday, November 1, 3.50pm: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a motorcycle crash on the corner of Bellvista Boulevard and Caloundra Road, LittleMountain, at 2.38pm.

Wednesday, November 1, 3.30pm: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning that included the Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas was cancelled at 2.51pm.

Further severe thunderstorms are now expected to develop later this afternoon over the Wide Bay and Burnett district.

Wednesday, November 1, 2.45pm: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for people in parts of Gympie, Somerset, Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas was issued at 2.19pm.

The warning is for large hailstones and damaging winds, from severe thunderstorms currently developing inland of the Sunshine Coast.

Wednesday, November 1, 2.20pm: An Avoid Smoke warning was issued for Palmview at 2.18pm.

The Advice level warning said smoke was affecting the Harmony estate, Palmview and surrounding areas. This was from a fire burning between Rainforest Drive, Laxton Road and Daintree Drive.

Wednesday, November 1, 1.35pm: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Lowanna Drive, Buddina, at 12.11pm.

Wednesday, November 1, 8.45am: Another Prepare to Leave warning has been issued for Obi Obi, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

The Watch and Act level warning was issued at 8.39am, after a similar warning went out at 4.38pm yesterday.

The warning area is for properties between Schultz Road, Kidaman Creek Road, Rose Gum Lane and Nothling Lane, as a result of a large fire burning near Kirbys Road. It is travelling towards Schultz Road and Nothling Lane.

Conditions could get worse quickly. Firefighters are working to control the fire. You should not expect a firefighter at your door. If your life is in danger, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Wednesday, November 1, 8.45am: A patient with an arm injury was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle and bicycle incident on the corner of Beerburrum and Curlew streets, Aroona, at 7.10am.

Wednesday, November 1, 7am: A female in her 40s with significant back injuries was transported in a serious condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a motorcycle crash on the intersection of Noosa Parade and Dolphin Crecent, Noosaville, at 6.10pm Tuesday.

Also at Noosaville, a male patient in his 90s was assessed in a stable condition at the scene of a kitchen fire on Lake Weyba Drive at 7.49pm Tuesday. The patient declined transport to hospital.

Wednesday, November 1, 1.30am: People from Image Flat and Kiamba (near Nambour) were told they could “Return With Caution” after a bushfire warning was downgraded to Advice level at 12.04am.

The warning was for people from properties between Upper Hutton Road, Wappa Falls Road, Wappa State Forest and Image Flat Road, including Wappa Dam Road and Beeston Road. The fire near Beeston Road is now burning in containment lines and will continue to burn for days. Firefighters are on site. If you left the area, you can return with caution. There has been some damage in the area but no properties are in danger at this time. Some roads could be closed. Mobile phone and internet services might not work. The ground in burnt areas could still be very hot. Smoke may stay in the area for several days.

A warning for Obi Obi was still at a Watch and Act level and people were told to Prepare to Leave. The warning, as of 7.58pm, was for properties between Schultz Road, Kidaman Creek Road, Rose Gum Lane, and Nothling Lane. A large fire is burning near Kirbys Road. It is travelling towards Schultz Road, and Nothling Lane.

An Advice warning, to Stay Informed, was still in place for Kenilworth Skyring Creek Road, Chinamans Creek Road and Ironstone Creek Road near Imbil.

Tuesday, October 31, 10.40pm: An Emergency Warning to Leave Immediately has been issued for Image Flat and Kiamba (near Nambour), at 9.59pm.

The warning area is for properties between Upper Hutton Road, Wappa Falls Road, Wappa State Forest and Image Flat Road, including Wappa Dam Road and Beeston Road

A fast-moving fire is burning near Beeston Road. It is expected to impact within the next hour. People in the area should leave immediately as their lives could be at risk and it will soon be too dangerous to drive.

Conditions could get worse quickly and properties may be impacted. Firefighters may not be able to stop the fire from getting closer and you should not to expect a firefighter at your door. Power, water, and mobile phone services may stop working soon, smoke will make it hard to see and breathe.

Tuesday, October 31, 5pm: A Prepare to Leave warning was issued for Obi Obi, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, at 4.38pm.

An Avoid Smoke warning for Staves Road, Lower Suses Pocket Road, Stacks Road, Kirbys Road and Schultz Road, around Obi Obi and Curramore, was also in place.

A Stay Informed warning for properties between Kenilworth Skyring Creek Road, Chinamans Creek Road and Ironstone Creek Road near Imbil is also still in place.

Tuesday, October 31, 2.10pm: A bushfire warning for Landsborough was cancelled at 1.57pm. Fire conditions have eased. Crews will continue to monitor the situation.

Tuesday, October 31, 2pm: Sunshine Coast detectives are investigating the cause of four bushfires in the past two weeks, which they are treating as suspicious.

Initial investigations indicate a fire at Beerwah on Sunday, October 29, was deliberately lit near Stokes Road about 10.30am.

Officers are also investigating whether another fire in the Beerwah/Landsborough area on October 28 was deliberately lit near a forestry clearing on Dianella Road and Roys Road, Beerwah, about 1pm.

This fire caused police to issue a Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) declaration later that night.

Steve Irwin Way was closed between Beerburrum and Landsborough from that emergency declaration. The emergency zone encompassed Steve Irwin Way, Hardwood Road, Forestry Road and Dianella Road.

Officers are also investigating whether a grass fire was sparked on Sattler Road in Meridan Plains just before 9pm on October 23 after an offender tried to gain entry to a business by cutting the locks to a fence.

The building was destroyed by fire, however emergency crews managed to contain the fire to that building and a small, grassed area nearby.

A bushfire in Beerwah on October 21 is also being treated as suspicious. It’s believed that fire started about 2pm near Roys Road.

Investigations are continuing into all the fires. Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.

Monday, October 30, 5.25pm: Police have released CCTV of eight people who may be able to assist with investigations following multiple property offences at Warana on Saturday, October 28.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 11.30pm, the group broke into a Premier Circuit warehouse and stole a large quantity of trailer tyres before leaving the scene in two separate vehicles. No one was physically injured.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the group, or who may have information that could assist with investigations, to come forward.

Monday, October 30, 5.25pm: Paramedics were at a grass fire on Jubilee Road, Carters Ridge, at 3.37pm.

Monday, October 30, 2.15pm: Sunshine Coast detectives and specialist arson detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command have commenced investigations into a fire at Beerwah on Sunday, October 29, which appears to have been deliberately lit.

Initial information indicates the fire started near Stokes Road about 10.30am.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with further information to contact police.

The cause of two other fires in the area are still undetermined at this time.

Monday, October 30, 11.30am: Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a man at Cotton Tree over the weekend.

About 12.30pm on October 28 police were called after a 44-year-old man was pulled unresponsive from the water.

The man from Paddington passed away at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Monday, October 30, 11.30am: A bushfire warning, at an Advice – Avoid Smoke level, has been cancelled for Mooloolah Valley, Palmwoods and Nambour, as of 10.40am.

Fire conditions have eased. Crews will continue to monitor the situation.

Monday, October 30, 10.15am: A person was transported to Noosa Hospital, in a serious condition, after they were pulled from the surf off Claude Batten Drive at Noosa Heads at 8.36am.

Monday, October 30, 6.35am: A bushfire warning for Landsborough was downgraded to an Advice – Avoid Smoke level, at 6.51am.

Smoke is currently affecting Landsborough, from a fire burning near White Gums Street and Wintzloff Road.

A bushfire warning for the broader area was cancelled at 6.54am

Monday, October 30, 6.35am: A male patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after a reported vehicle and pedestrian incident on Nambour Connection Road, Nambour, at 2.32am.

Sunday, October 29, 4.20pm: A bushfire warning for the Hardwood Road area has now been issued as a Watch and Act – Prepare to Leave, as of 5.09pm.

A large, fast-moving fire is burning near White Gums Street and Wintzloff Road. It is travelling towards Hardwood Road, Landsborough. Conditions could get worse quickly. Firefighters are working to control the fire. Residents should not expect a firefighter at their door.

Sunday, October 29, 4.20pm: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, following an ATV rollover on a private property at Belli Park at 3.22pm.
