Thirsty Merc
Thirsty Merc are unquestionably one of Australia’s finest live acts, and they’re hitting Caloundra for an epic afternoon of live music. The band have released four critically-acclaimed albums and have more than 250,000 album sales under their belt. Their song “20 Good Reasons” was a finalist in the APRA Song of the Year Awards and they have five ARIA Award nominations to their name. This is an 18-plus event.

Rockabilly Festival
A huge Rockabilly Festival is rolling into NightQuarter this February, featuring 1950s rockabilly music, pin-up fashion and slow-cooked American barbecue. An entry pass to NightQuarter is all that is required to attend. This can be purchased online in advance or on the door on the day.

Creedence Clearwater Collective
You are invited to head along to The Events Centre for a celebration of Creedence Clearwater Revival. You’ll be walked through the life and music of one of the world’s most iconic bands, from the songs they wrote, to the songs covered and the songs they wrote for others. The Creedence Clearwater Collective brings to the stage a six-piece band – with a guest saxophonist and a vocalist that emulates John Fogerty’s distinctive vocals – to capture the unique CCR sound.

The Sunny Coast Rude Boys
The Sunny Coast Rude Boys (The Rudies) are a 10-piece soundwave, playing uplifting ska and reggae, and drawing on musical influences that have shaped this genre from the Jamaican movement through to UK Two-Tone. The Rudies demonstrate a unique vision with the exuberance and freewheeling colour of contemporary ska and have crafted their sound with unexpected arrangements and seductive harmonies, powerful horns and foot-stomping drums. The Rudies are heading to Kings Beach to raise the roof for a night of old-skool dance and good times.

United Pro Wrestling
United Pro Wrestling is Queensland’s best wrestling destination showing local and interstate professional wrestlers who are dedicated to their craft, combining sporting prowess with memorable characters. See hard hitters, high flyers and huge characters as they put on a night of family-friendly entertainment you will never forget. There will also be food, drinks, merchandise and lots of giveaways.

Kim Kirkman and Friends
Enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music with Kim Kirkman and his musical friends. Mr Kirkman is a conductor, singer, violinist and harpist. He was musical director and a member of The Ten Tenors, and taught strings, composition and voice at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music. He lives on the Sunshine Coast and is involved with a number of choral groups in the region. Join Mr Kirkman and his fellow musicians for an entertaining afternoon.

Funny Coast Comedy – The Nelson Twins
Solbar and Funny Coast Comedy present another big night of world-class stand-up comedy featuring some of the funniest comedians in the country. The Nelson Twins were finalists in Australia’s Got Talent, and appeared on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. But forget TV talent shows – live onstage is where these hilarious identical twins do their best work. Bart Freebairn is hosting the show, supported by Matty B.

Park Sounds
Bring the family and pack a picnic rug for a fantastic afternoon of free live music at Park Sounds, an initiative of the team at the Imperial Hotel Eumundi that takes place on the last Sunday of the month. Headlining this month’s event is August River Band. Prepare yourself for metal riffs played on acoustic guitars, soaring and swooning classical violin layers underpinned by heavy dub rock bass lines, harmonies and a heavy dose of poetic romance. Backing up August River Band will be Cora & Lochie, Yeah the Girls, and Little Mountain duo.
