A business resilience-building event is set to put residents in direct contact with industry experts and advisors.
The annual Thriving Through Change Business Resilience Expo, to be held on August 5 at Maroochy RSL, will bring together business support organisations, advisors and industry leaders giving local businesses access to practical solutions, networking opportunities and advice to help reduce costs and improve performance.
This year’s keynote speaker is money expert, media commentator and business advocate Effie Zahos, who will share practical insights on navigating changing economic conditions and making more confident business decisions based on consumer needs.
Ms Zahos is the money editor for Channel 9NEWS and a regular finance commentator on the Today show.
She currently sits on the board of the ASX-listed InvestSMART and serves as a director at the Ecstra Foundation.
Through her work with Ecstra, she supports the Talk Money initiative, a national school-based program that has already empowered over 500,000 students to build financial confidence.

Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli said the event reflected council’s commitment to supporting the region’s small business community.
