A man has been charged by police following a wounding incident at Ringtail Creek, near Noosa, yesterday.

Around 2.15pm, police were called to a residence on Tronson Road in relation to a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old man with a non-life-threatening wound to his abdomen.

He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Police located and arrested a 39-year-old Pomona man a short time later and he has been charged with one count each of wounding and unlicensed driving.

Bail has been refused and he is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
