A Queensland Police investigation into the alleged fraud and computer hacking of a Sunshine Coast business has resulted in six men being charged, with two appearing before Maroochydore Magistrates Court for sentencing.
Sunshine Coast detectives alleged the offending involved the fraud and computer hacking of a Sunshine Coast business over a protracted period.
Police said a 35-year-old Buderim man was charged with 11 counts of computer hacking and misuse and two counts of fraud, while a 40-year-old Mountain Creek man was charged with two counts of computer hacking and misuse and one count of fraud.
Court records show Scott Larson and Jesse Martin appeared before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday in relation to the matter.
Police also charged a 41-year-old Burleigh Waters man with 27 counts of receiving tainted property, while a 40-year-old New South Wales man was charged with eight counts of receiving tainted property. Both are due to reappear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 13.
A 38-year-old man has been charged with one count each of fraud, receiving tainted property and using a restricted computer without consent.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with 30 counts of receiving tainted property and is due to appear before Southport Magistrates Court on July 2.
Police have not released further details about the alleged offending or identified the business involved.
