A long-running charity has unveiled its most expensive prize home package.
Endeavour Lotteries is offering a $3.7 million windfall in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, including a luxury home on 4000sqm of land, designer furniture, electricals, $100,000 ReSinc solar setup, a ride-on mower and gardening package.
The doors to the ‘Maleny mega-build’ were swung open for the first time in early May, with locals, charity supporters and previous prize home winners taken on a tour.
Endeavour Lotteries general manager Dominic Taylor said the property was unique.
“For more than 60 years, Endeavour Lotteries has been changing lives and, while every prize home carries meaning, our Anniversary Prize Home #468 stands apart, representing something truly special as our most ambitious, our most luxurious, and perhaps our most meaningful home yet,” he said.
“And to be able to release it during Endeavour Foundation’s 75th anniversary year is more than timely: it’s a celebration of how far we’ve come, and a statement of confidence in the future we are building together.”
The H-shaped, four-bedroom, pavilion-style home was designed by local award-winning designer Pete Taylor from Taylor’d Distinction, master built by DJ Sommer, with the interior designed and styled by local award-winning interior designer, Kate Cooper.
“The southern wing of the home contains the bedrooms, rumpus room and library,” Mr Taylor said.
“The northern wing is your kitchen, living, dining, guest bedroom suite and garage, with all spaces centred around the absolutely stunning courtyard and pool.
“So, wherever you are, you’re connected to that outdoor space, and you’re connected as a family.
“However, the real drama lies within the design finishes and features.
“If it’s not the symmetrical H-design of the home, you’ll be wowed by the oversized oak doors that create such as statement as you pass through the entry gallery and view the amazing courtyard and pool.
“Then there’s the elegant kitchen suitable for every entertaining experience, which flows into the generous outdoor terrace complete with impressive woodfired pizza oven. In the primary suite, not only is it a grand yet tranquil retreat, it includes a kitchenette, a private courtyard and even a woodfired hot tub.
“Size, scale, sophistication. This home is an absolute dream, and we can’t wait to see who wins it.”

Recent Sunshine Coast prize home recipient Jessica Zarb explained what it was like to win big.
“It’s changed our lives forever,” she said.
“I have a four-year-old, and one on the way, and our win just feels like it was meant to be. Everything has slotted into place and we haven’t looked back.
“The move into the house was seamless and well considered.
“Everything was setup for us. We didn’t even need to leave to get groceries. The fridge was full and everything like garbage bags and paper towel were supplied.
“There were even some clothes in my daughter’s size in her cupboard, which she immediately put on and loves to wear.
“All we had to bring were our toothbrushes.”
