A Sunshine Coast man has died following a crash west of Gympie overnight.
Emergency services were called to Gympie Woolooga Road, near Little Widgee Road at Widgee, about 12.30am on Friday after reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a Holden Commodore.
The passenger, a 31-year-old Peregian Beach man, was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver, a 30-year-old Widgee man, was transported to Gympie Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident, to contact investigators.
