A woman has been airlifted to hospital in a serious but stable condition after a horse-related incident in the Noosa region on Saturday morning.

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew was tasked to a private property at 8.36am following reports a woman had been injured in the incident.

A LifeFlight helicopter landed at the property, where the critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic joined local QAS crews to treat the patient.

The woman, aged in her 60s, suffered suspected head and spinal injuries.

She was stabilised at the scene before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
