A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after he was injured in a diving incident.

He reportedly dived into shallow water at Lake Mckenzie at K’gari on Tuesday evening.

A Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew landed at a nearby beach and paramedics and a critical care doctor treat him for suspected spinal injuries.

He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The crew was then tasked to a search and rescue mission in the Moreton Bay region, at 9.15pm, to locate a missing kayaker.

He was located within 30 minutes by the LifeFlight chopper and the Queensland Police Service water police were able to transport the man to safety via water.

The incidents were among several call-outs for emergency services in the region during the past couple of days.

One stable patient was ransported to Nambour Hospital after a post immersion incident at Noosa Little Cove at Noosa Heads on Wednesday afternoon.

A teenager was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital stable with facial burns after a firework ignited at a location off Glass House Woodford Road at Beerburrum in the early hours of Wednesday morning. 

A patient with significant facial and pelvic injuries was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after a vehicle and pedestrian incident on David Low Way at Sunrise Beach on Tuesday night.
