A new country and western live music venue is set to open on the Sunshine Coast.

Coyote’s Roadhouse, located in Ocean Street, Maroochydore, will be Hallmark Hospitality’s second Coast venue, after recently launching Foxy Malone’s Irish Pub in Mooloolaba.

The venue is currently undergoing an exterior and interior redesign ahead of its expected late-September opening at the entrance of Big Top Shopping Centre.

Hallmark Hospitality director Cade Hopman said the venue would feature two live music stages.

“The entertainment doesn’t stop at the live stages; we will also have a dedicated games hall which will house the venue’s signature mechanical bull alongside country-themed pinball machines and the old pub classic, ‘Ring the Bull’,” Mr Hopman said.

The venue will also feature electronic darts, pool tables and a Big Buck Hunter arcade game, alongside a country-inspired drinks offering and smokehouse-themed menu.

Gold Coast-based Space Cubed Design Studio is leading the fit-out, including the interior design, furniture and lighting procurement.

Interior designer Amanda Holloway said the design would draw on country towns, rodeo culture and outback hospitality.

“Coyote’s Roadhouse offers an authentic country experience reimagined for the Sunshine Coast’s relaxed coastal setting,” she said.

“A palette of rustic finishes and handcrafted details creates a space that feels warm, rugged and welcoming, whilst interactive experiences bring energy and personality to the venue, encouraging guests to embrace their inner cowboy or cowgirl.”

The design will incorporate reclaimed timber, aged corrugated metal, worn leather, cowhide and blackened steel, along with vintage signage, rodeo memorabilia and mounted horns.

Coyote’s Roadhouse is the latest addition to Hallmark Hospitality’s portfolio, which includes venues across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast.
