A premier private school continues to flourish, with the opening of another stage in its impressive masterplan.

St Andrew’s Anglican College has unveiled a multi-purpose courts complex and an underground parking facility.

The development was opened by college principal Reverend Chris Ivey and State Member for Ninderry Dan Purdie on Monday, when students and parents were the first to use the new facility with games of netball and soccer.

The facility, which replaced a grass area and sits beside the college’s aquatic centre, boasts six full-size courts on an astroturf surface.

They will enhance the college’s sporting program and provide additional space for primary students during morning tea and lunch.

Mr Ivey said the development created an impressive recreational precinct.

“We are thrilled to introduce these new facilities to our college community,” he said.

“It marks a significant milestone in the college’s commitment to enhancing educational and recreational experiences for students and the community.

“The multi-purpose courts will assist in developing community and teamwork through the endless opportunities a facility like this provides.

“We look forward to watching our students prosper and above all have fun on these new courts.”

A new underground car park, providing 100 parking spaces, was built underneath the courts.

Students are making the most of the new courts.

The next stage in the college’s masterplan is due to start next year, with Stage 1 of a performing arts centre and a new main administration building towards the front of the college.

This will be followed by a future learning building for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, which is estimated to start in 2027.

The college has charged ahead with development in recent years, opening a $15m learning hub in 2015 and the impressive $14m aquatic centre in 2019.
