Monday, September 4, 6am: The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious crash at Bli Bli yesterday afternoon.
Initial investigations indicate around 5.10pm, a Mazda B2600 utility travelled along David Low Way before it struck a 12-year-old boy, who had been riding a scooter.
Emergency services arrived a short time later, with the boy being airlifted in a critical condition to Queensland Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the Mazda, a 27-year-old Bli Bli man, was not physically injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV vision of the area to come forward.

Sunday, September 3, 9.15pm: A patient was transported by helicopter, in a critical condition, to the Queensland Children’s Hospital after the earlier vehicle and pedestrian incident on David Low Way at Bli Bli
Sunday, September 3, 5.40pm: Paramedics were treating one patient at the scene of a vehicle and pedestrian incident on David Low Way at Bli Bli at 5.14pm.

Sunday, September 3, 9.20am: Paramedics attended a two-vehicle crash on Gannawarra Street and Nicklin Way at Currimundi at 9.38pm. Two males sustained back injuries and were transported stable to Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Another three people were uninjured and did not require further medical treatment.
Sunday, September 3, 5.30am: A patient in a stable condition was transported to Nambour Hospital after a vehicle collided with a stationary vehicle on the Bruce Highway northbound at Nambour at 4.27pm.
Saturday, September 2, 3.15pm: Police are seeking urgent assistance to locate a missing 55-year-old man from the Sunshine Coast.
He was last heard from on August 31 and has not contacted anyone since. Police are concerned for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition. Investigators believe he may be travelling in Imbil, or the greater Gympie area and may have a dog with him.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
Update: the man has since been found safe and well.
Saturday, September 2, 3.10pm: Paramedics attended a location off Cambroon Lane at Kenilworth at 10.33am for a motorcycle crash. One patient was transported stable to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Saturday, September 2, 11.30am: Paramedics transported a stable patient to Buderim Private Hospital after a truck rollover on Access Crescent at Coolum Beach at 9.47am.
Saturday, September 2, 8.30am: Paramedics attended the Bruce Highway northbound at Glass House Mountains at 9.14pm last night for a single-vehicle crash. A male was able to remove himself from the vehicle and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Wednesday, August 30, 4.30pm: A severe thunderstorm warning has been cancelled.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the immediate threat of severe thunderstorms had passed, but the situation would continue to be monitored and further warnings would be issued if necessary.
If severe thunderstorms develop in the South-East Queensland area (east of Dalby from Rainbow Beach to Stanthorpe), a more detailed severe thunderstorm warning would be issued to people in this area.

Tuesday, August 29, 10.25am: A patient in a serious condition has been transported with head and shoulder injuries to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after reportedly being struck by a falling tree at a private address at Eudlo at 9.18am.

Monday, August 28, 11.30am: Police have charged a 29-year-old Beerwah man following an alleged dangerous driving incident in Morayfield on Saturday.
It will be alleged that about 8.20am, the man was driving a silver 2008 Volkswagen Golf erratically along Buchannan Road when it collided with the rear of a silver Holden Commodore, forcing both vehicles off the road.
The Commodore driver, a 31-year-old Bellmere woman, drove to nearby service station and called for assistance.
No one was physically injured.
The Golf driver, a 29-year-old Beerwah man, allegedly left the scene on foot before being taken into police custody nearby a short time later.
The man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle (domestic violence), wilful damage (domestic violence), unlawful stalking and fail to properly dispose of needle, and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear at Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the silver 2008 Volkswagen Golf, with Queensland registration 007GW2, allegedly driving erratically between 8am and 9.15am on Saturday in Morayfield to immediately come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
