Sculpture on the Edge 

Sculpture on the Edge is a renowned, annual sculpture competition hosted by Arts Connect Inc in the scenic Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Come along to celebrate the official opening at the beautiful Flaxton Gardens, the event’s major sponsor and venue. Chicago The Musical Preview

Campfire book launch to support koala rescues

Lights on the Lake

Join a lakeside festival that will have family fun and festive spirit. There will be a variety of children’s activities, on-stage entertainment, food and drink vendors, a water procession of decorated and illuminated water craft on the lake and a spectacular laser light show. The annual event is set to return after it went on a hiatus since 2019, due to COVD-19.  It’s run entirely by volunteers and is being relaunched this year with an even bigger program, that is bound to build a strong sense of belonging within the community.

‘Coop, The Reluctant Premier’

Former Queensland Premier and now Sunshine Coast resident Russell Cooper lifts the lid on his colourful 18-year political career, by publicly releasing his candid and poignant memoir ‘Coop, The Reluctant Premier’. This contemporary political memoir delves into Russell’s formative and adolescent years which helped shape his life’s trajectory up to the state election in 1983 when he was first elected. Originally intended for his family, the autobiography is one of a few self-published records of the National Party governing in its own right, including the acrimonious resignation in 1987 of then Premier Bjelke-Petersen.

Christmas markets

The Noosa Art and Craft Association’s well-known and loved market is back. After a couple of years hiatus, due to the impacts of COVID-19, the event will return with a variety of handmade unique Christmas gifts, made by local artists. The market will also include a vibrant pop-up café, offering delicious treats.

Carols in the Park

Save the date for the longest running Christmas Carols on the Sunshine Coast. This will be the 58th edition of the Peregian Beach Carols in the Park. This year’s event is going to be even more amazing. The event will be presented by Peregian Family & Friends Inc & the Peregian Beach Business Association. The Peregian Surf Club will also join this year’s event in their own right.
