The search for potential 2032 Olympians is on, with scouts turning their attention to the Sunshine Coast.
The Queensland Academy of Sport is in the midst of a quest to find Queensland’s next sports stars, ahead of the Brisbane Games.
The academy’s YouFor2032 Talent Identification Program will arrive on the Sunshine Coast for five testing sessions.
The program is designed to identify athletes with natural sporting gifts. The testing sessions will put aspiring Sunshine Coast Olympians through their paces, with a series of endurance, agility and speed exercises.

Emma McKeon, Youfor2032 Ambassador and 11-time Olympic medallist, has encouraged the Sunshine Coast’s talented young athletes to take the leap and register for the program in a bid to realise their own Olympic dreams.
“There is nothing more rewarding than working towards a goal and pushing to be the best version of yourself,” she said.
“I am incredibly excited to help the Queensland Academy of Sport, who have been pivotal in the road to my Olympic success, on their quest to find the next generation of medallists.”
Aspiring Sunshine Coast athletes aged 13 to 23 are invited to join the quest for medal success and register for the upcoming testing sessions at the USC Stadium.
The first session, which is at capacity, will be held on Monday, July 4.
The program will return to the region on Saturday, August 13, Sunday, August 14, Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4.
