Sunshine Coast Asian Food Festival
In its fifth year, the Sunshine Coast Asian Food Festival returns to the serene, lush grounds of Spicers Tamarind Retreat. This is the perfect occasion to gather friends and family for an afternoon of vibrant Asian street food, refreshing beverages, great sounds and relaxing pleasures.
Indulge in five flavoursome Asian street food dishes by The Tamarind’s highly-acclaimed head chef Daniel Jarrett. Quench your thirst with local brews from Moffat Beach Brewing Co or go international at the Asahi Beer Bar. Taste and learn at a riesling masterclass hosted by wine guru Peter Marchant, plus there is so much more.

Hussy Hicks
Critically-acclaimed Australian act Hussy Hicks are a tour de force featuring Leesa Gentz’ powerhouse soul vocals and Julz Parker’s revered guitar skills. Prolific accomplished musicians, Hussy Hicks have honed their sonic dexterity during the past 12 years with six studio albums, multiple industry awards and more than 1000 live shows, from Australia’s biggest blues, roots and folk festivals to 15 plus international tours, which now sell out across Europe.

Mooloolaba Triathlon
The Mooloolaba Triathlon (Moo Tri) returns with a jam-packed weekend of festival fun for the family. Set in the home of triathlon and the ultimate holiday destination, the Moo Tri offers four great races in one stunning beach location. The second-largest triathlon in Australia, the event will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2022.

Chamber Pearls at Palmwoods
Pacific Chamber Players will perform the Romantic “Trio Pathétique” by Mikhail Glinka, the hypnotic “Overture on Hebrew Themes” by Sergei Prokofiev and the rarely-heard yet delightful “Trio Miniatures” by Paul Juon. A Russian program can never omit such greats as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Two Pieces for Bassoon and Piano” and Alexander Borodin’s “String Quartet No 2”. A bit of Shostakovich will complete the program.

Motown v RnB
Two genres go head to head in this huge night of live music, showcasing all your favourite hits from the Motown Era. Sing and dance to some of history’s most iconic music artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations and more with The Motown Legacy. Representing RnB will be J-Funk, a dynamic three-piece who deliver RnB, soul and hip-hop. Dance and sing to the hits of real raw RnB, hip-hop and funk.

Calendar Girls
Calendar Girls is based on a true story of a group of Yorkshire women who stand by each other through life’s ups and downs, the fun times and through days of deep loss. This poignant play will make you laugh and shed a few tears. Presented by Coolum Theatre Players and directed by Barb Ryan, the cast and crew will star in and produce a calendar of their very own. Your attendance and purchase of the calendar will support Katie Rose Cottage Hospice, with proceeds going towards the purchase of some comfy new lounge chairs for patients’ visitors.

Sunny Coast Crab Lunch
Get your claws on some cracking crustaceans at this long lunch inspired by the Sunny Coast’s best seafood. Spanner crab is at the heart of the lunch. Wild, caught in and around the oceans of beautiful Fraser Island, it is unique, succulent and sweet. You’re invited to come and explore the flavours of the Sunny Coast over three courses perfectly paired with matching beverages. Jason Simpson from Fraser Isle Spanner Crabs will be speaking about Mooloolaba as the spanner crab capital of the world and how this great Sunshine Coast product is caught and exported. Mr Simpson will guide you through the cracking, picking and eating experience at the table. Prepare to get messy.

High Tea For The Ladies And Rosies
Able Retreats presents this fabulous Ladies High Tea morning to raise funds for Rosies – Friends on the Streets. Rosies reaches out to those most in need, people who are homeless or at risk, lonely and socially isolated in our communities.
