Two of Queensland’s most talented young tennis players are poised to take the next big step in their development.

Sunshine Coast Grammar School students Connor McEvoy and Aiden Serifovic have been selected for the Under-13 National Boys Tennis Camp ‘Doubles the Australian Way’, being held in Sydney.

The event, organised by Tennis Australia, will be important for selecting a national team for the under-14 world championships.

Head tennis coach at Sunshine Coast Grammar, Clint Fyfe, said the camp would provide a great opportunity for the duo.

“It is great for Connor and Aiden to be rewarded for their hard work and improvement,” he said.

“The boys are excited to get together with the other leading players in Australia. as there haven’t been many opportunities for them to train and compete at a national level the last couple of years due to COVID.”

The camp will coincide with Australia’s Davis Cup tie against Hungary and both players will have the opportunity to interact with the national team and take inspiration from their matches.
