After the success of his Oceanus apartments in red-hot Bokarina Beach, a top developer has secured a second site around the corner.

Walter Iezzi’s Oceanus project is 95% sold – the value of sales hitting $73 million – with only six units left out of 104.

Still up for grabs are three one-bedroom units (from $419k), two three-bedroom units (from $859k) and a solitary two-bedroom plus media room apartment for $1.149m.

The strong demand has inspired Mr Iezzi to secure a second development site on Bokarina Boulevard, right around the corner from Oceanus, an eight-level development currently under construction.

“I have not seen demand for property like this in a long time,” Mr Iezzi said.

“Oceanus is now sitting at around 95% of units sold and enquiry from both locals and interstate is very strong.

“What I believe is driving demand in this area, is the liveability of the beautiful master planned community that Stockland has created that is incredibly appealing to all ages.

“Of course, there is the beach and beautiful walking and bike tracks at your doorstep, the hospital is nearby and the shopping centres are five to ten minutes by car – but it’s more than that – it is a really beautifully planned estate that will only improve with time, Mr Iezzi said.

This new project will be the biggest Walter Iezzi has taken on, with residential apartments built over eight levels and a mix of retail shops, commercial and dining on the ground floor.

“With this project I really wanted to create something special and beautifully designed shopping and dining spaces add extra convenience and appeal to owners and tenants alike,” Mr Iezzi said.

“Everything I design and build is all about accommodating the changing needs and demands of the community who will live there – it must be designed to be beautiful and endure for decades.  I ask myself every single time I create a design – ‘would I live there?’ and the answer is always ‘yes’!

With Oceanus expected to be completed by Christmas 2021, work on the new project, which has been named Azzure Bokarina Beach, is likely to commence early 2022.

The project will be released to the market over the coming weeks.
