At 62 years old, Craig Parker is still one of the fastest men on the sand.

The Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club member finished the athletics and surf lifesaving seasons with four Australian Masters gold medals, including two on the beach and two on the track.

The club issued a press release saying he won the beach sprint and the flags event at the Australian Surf Life Saving Titles at Perth, after winning the 60m and 100m sprints at the Australian Masters Athletics Titles in Sydney.

Parker is the Australian record holder for 60m in the 60-64 age group and his recent personal best for the 100m (12.45s) is quicker than many football players.

He is regularly ranked in the world’s top three fastest sprinters for his age group and his times are getting quicker, after seven years of competition on the track.

Parker is also the sprint coach at Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club, where his squad competes on the beach and the track.

“I can make everyone quicker with regular training, drills to improve technique as well as strength work,” he said.

Passionate about speed, Parker provides free coaching sessions to improve in running events and in other sports like rugby union, Aussie rules and soccer.

If you are interested in improving your speed, no matter what your sport, Parker can be contacted via Instagram.
