Police have charged a second teenager following an alleged dangerous driving incident in a Sunshine Coast town earlier this week.

Police allege a white Honda Civic, that had been reported stolen from Mudjimba, was driven erratically to Nambour before it crashed at the intersection of Coronation Avenue and Carroll Street on August 10 at about 8.40am.

A 15-year-old boy was apprehended nearby a short time later and charged with six offences.

Following subsequent investigations, he has since been charged with additional offences including one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle without a licence.

He is next due to face Maroochydore Childrens Court on September 9.

A second 15-year-old boy, from Image Flat, has also now been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company.

He has been dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations remain ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
