A woman and a motorbike rider have died following a crash at Warana on Saturday night.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the fatal collision, which occurred on Nicklin Way at about 8.12pm.

Initial investigations indicate a pedestrian was attempting to cross the road after alighting from a bus, when she was struck by a southbound motorbike.

The pedestrian, a 68-year-old Warana woman, sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The motorbike rider, a 30-year-old Golden Beach man, also suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

The rider of a Ducati motorcycle seen in the vicinity of the crash is assisting police with enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone with information or dashcam footage from around 7.50pm and 8.10pm, to come forward.
