A woman and a motorbike rider have died following a crash at Warana on Saturday night.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the fatal collision, which occurred on Nicklin Way at about 8.12pm.

Initial investigations indicate a pedestrian was attempting to cross the road when she was struck by a southbound motorbike.

The pedestrian, a 68-year-old Warana woman, sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The motorbike rider, a 30-year-old Golden Beach man, also suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

Investigators believe a rider and pillion of a Ducati motorcycle seen in the vicinity of the crash would be able to assist with investigations.

The rider is described as male, wearing a white hoodie and black helmet. The pillion is described as female, wearing dark coloured leggings and a dark coloured top.

Police are appealing to both persons on the motorcycle, and anyone with information or dashcam footage from around 7.50pm and 8.10pm, to come forward.
