An Australian restaurant chain known for its bold burgers and celebrity following is set to open on the Sunshine Coast as part of a major national expansion.
Milky Lane has announced three new Queensland venues as part of a wider rollout that will see 26 new locations open across the country.
Its venues have previously hosted visits from international artists including Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Sean Kingston and Bow Wow.
The venues feature a design style that includes hip-hop music and graffiti-style artwork.
Co-founders Christian Avant and Shane Fitzgerald said the Sunshine Coast restaurant would open this year, with the exact site still to be confirmed.
“Though rest assured, it will be in a precinct that amplifies the experience and attracts a strong local crowd,” Mr Avant said.
“We’re excited to finally bring the brand to the coast after many years of close calls and teasing an opening.”

The Queensland expansion would also add new venues in Toowoomba and Townsville in the coming months, with further national locations yet to be announced.
Mr Fitzgerald said the Sunshine Coast had been one of the most requested locations in Australia.
“We almost had quite a few sites secured over the last four to five years but for whatever reason, it never materialised,” he said.
“The region’s growing fast, the dining scene’s lifting and the Coast has that fun, laid back energy that lines up perfectly with who we are as a brand.
“It feels like the right time to make it happen.”

Looking ahead, he said the new venue will focus heavily on experience-driven dining.
“At Milky Lane, it’s all about the full experience: the burgers, cocktails, artwork, music, service, and atmosphere,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
“We pride ourselves on creating memories.
“We want this venue to feel like a place where customers can celebrate, catch up with mates or just have a special and different night out, something totally unique on the Sunny Coast.”
