The home of a respected Sunshine Coast farming identity, designed to overlook generations of family land, is set to go under the hammer.
Residence Six at 2 Clearview Court at Buderim, which was the private sanctuary of late eighth-generation Maroochydore farmer Peter Wise, is scheduled for auction on July 2.
Mr Wise owned nearby Wises Farm, the largest undeveloped open space in the Maroochydore/Buderim. It was sold last year and will be the site of a 420-dwelling development.
Ray White Mooloolaba sales agent Jacob Hussey is marketing the Wise family’s five-bedroom, three-bathroom property, which features a blend of luxury, privacy and a connection to Sunshine Coast history.
He said the home was custom-built by Mr Wise in 2010, and Mr Wise was so attached to his land that his family could rarely convince him to step away, even for a “quick smoko break”.
Daughters Amanda and Kylie Wise said their mum, Ivy, now aged in her 80s, was ready to downsize from the property, which was designed by renowned architects Blackburn and Jackson.

They said the home was deliberately positioned on a 3005sqm allotment on Buderim’s tightly held north-eastern escarpment so their father could keep an eye on his farm without leaving home.
“Because of this, the estate boasts completely uninterrupted, panoramic coastal and ocean views stretching from Alexandra Headland to Mount Ninderry that can never be built out,” Kylie said.
“The home features an open plan layout with a butler’s kitchen, a private little nook where mum used to hide away, and a dedicated office space that was so incredibly important to dad.”

Crafted with a commitment to sustainability and future-focused engineering, the home features soaring raked ceilings, natural light, and expansive glazing designed to capture the ocean breeze.
Built with aging-in-place in mind, the estate offers flat-level drive-in access to the top double garage, allowing one older person to live entirely on the main level without the burden of heavy maintenance.
The property has a self-contained lower level with its own driveway, single garage, kitchen and living area.
The space provides a solution for multi-generational living, older children, or lucrative rental income.
The block offers drivable access to the lower portion, providing future buyers the potential to subdivide or construct a secondary dwelling (STCA).
“You can easily live up top and use the downstairs for extended family, guests, or even rent it out for extra income since it has its own access and driveway,” Kylie said.
“We have hosted so many wonderful family Christmas and Easter celebrations on the large expansive veranda, enjoying the full panoramic views that are visible from every single room, even the lower level,” she said.
“It’s a future-focused home that was truly built to last.”
The estate is sustainable and over-engineered, equipped with solar power, solar hot water, and seven large water tanks.
It is located minutes from Buderim Village, elite schools and beaches with access to the highway.
