A motocross rider has been airlifted to hospital after a crash at a recreational park in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical team was tasked to the incident near Maleny at 2.51pm on Sunday.
The LifeFlight helicopter landed near the scene after being dispatched by Retrieval Services Queensland.
A man in his 40s was treated for chest and facial injuries by a critical care LifeFlight doctor and a Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic, working alongside local QAS crews.
After receiving treatment at the scene, the rider was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further care.
