Leading local musicians including Katie Noonan, Marshall Hamburger and Che Burns came together with music fans Sunday night to celebrate the region’s top talent.
The 2026 Sunshine Coast Music Awards recognised excellence across 11 categories and included local musicians, venue operators and industry representatives.
Presented by the Sunshine Coast Music Industry Collective (SCMIC), the second annual awards were held at The Shed, Palmview.
Katie Noonan emerged as the night’s biggest winner, taking home Artist of the Year, Live Act of the Year and Musician of the Year. Australian Idol winner (2025) Marshall Hamburger was named Rising Star, while Deline Briscoe received the Indidge Award.
Frank and Louis claimed Young Artist of the Year and Che Burns won Song of the Year for Devil Like You, with the award presented by internationally acclaimed Australian musician Xavier Rudd.
Other winners included Jordyn Furmedge (The Video Chick), whose work on the music video for Run by Byrd of Paradyse earned Artwork of the Year.
Letty Delaney was named Punter of the Year, Yama-Nui Recording Studio took out Recording Studio of the Year, and The Presynct was recognised as Venue of the Year.
Presenters included AYLA, Minnie Marks, Shannon Carroll, Andrea Kirwin, Dan Nebe (Musicare / Project Olympus), Kristie Ellis (QMusic) and several other special guests, who helped honour the artists, venues and industry professionals shaping the local music community.

The awards also featured performances from the Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe, Chris Cobb, Cora, The Phosphenes, 8 Ball Aitken and Buttermello, showcasing the depth and diversity of the Sunshine Coast’s music community.
The awards were made possible with support from Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Moshtix, Team Musicare & Project Olympus, Mooloolaba Music, Bendigo Bank and a network of volunteers and industry partners.
