A home lottery offering a luxury apartment complex and gold bullion has been launched as the biggest prize package in an organisation’s 70-year history.

The record-breaking Dream Home Art Union draw centres on a four-apartment development at Kings Beach, with the total prize pool valued at more than $15.5 million.

The package includes the entire complex of four apartments worth $14.6 million, $250,000 in gold, more than $525,000 worth of furniture and electrical items, a $3000 travel voucher and prepaid rates, water and body corporate fees valued at $122,844. Estimated rental returns across the properties are pegged at $265,200 annually.

Dream Home Art Union general manager lotteries Ben Sawkins said the scale of the giveaway was unprecedented.

“What makes this draw especially unique is the scale and versatility of the prize,” he said.

“The winner isn’t receiving just one luxury apartment, but an entire four-residence coastal complex with the freedom to live in one, accommodate family and friends all year round, sell one or sell them all or generate significant rental income from the others.”

Mr Sawkins said the Sunshine Coast continued to attract strong interest from buyers and entrants seeking a coastal lifestyle.

“The Sunshine Coast continues to capture Australians’ imagination because it offers an exceptional lifestyle balance,” he said.

“You have beautiful beaches, a relaxed coastal atmosphere and strong community appeal, while still delivering premium dining, retail and amenity.”

He said recent demand for luxury coastal prize homes had exceeded expectations.

“Following the incredible response to our recent Noosa draw, we know there is enormous appetite for luxury property on the Sunshine Coast.

“Winning an entire apartment complex on the Sunshine Coast, plus $250,000 in gold included in a total prize package worth over $15.5 million, is a dream come true for one of our lucky customers.”

According to figures released by the organisation, more than 7500 veterans and family members received health and wellbeing support in 2025, while more than 10,000 mental health and rehabilitation sessions were delivered nationally.

Mr Sawkins said the lottery had evolved significantly since its beginnings after World War I.

“Funds raised contribute to services including housing support, employment pathways, mental health programs and advocacy, so entrants are helping make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

“This draw reflects how much Dream Home Art Union has evolved over seven decades. From humble beginnings after World War I to now offering a $15.5 million coastal prize package, it’s a remarkable milestone for the organisation and for the Australians who continue to support it.”

The winner will be drawn on July 8, 2026.
