A man has been injured in a truck crash that closed key roads, including a section of the Bruce Highway.

Multiple crews attended the scene of a rollover at Yandina, which happened at about 10.34am.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said it appeared the truck went off the Yandina-Coolum Road overpass.

A man in his 50s was trapped for some time before he was extricated. A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said he suffered significant leg injuries but was in a stable condition.

The incident led to the closure of both lanes of Yandina-Coolum Road and the northbound stretch of the highway.

The Queensland Police Service issued a traffic alert.

“Motorists are advised traffic diversions are in place on Bruce Highway northbound, near Yandina-Coolum Road. Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternative route.”

A QPS spokesperson said, this afternoon, that the crash was under investigation.

“At around 10.30am, police and emergency services were called to a single-vehicle traffic crash involving a semi-trailer truck on the Bruce Highway at Yandina Coolum Road, Yandina.”

“Road closures are currently in place and are expected to remain for the next several of hours.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
