Friday, July 19, 6.05pm: Police are investigating, after a member of the public reported a Holden Barina submerged in water off the boat ramp at Kings Beach at 6.30am. The vehicle was reported stolen this morning.

Thursday, July 18, 7.05am: Paramedics transported a male in his teen to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with life-threatening head injuries following a pedestrian and vehicle incident on Bellflower Road, Sippy Downs, at 8.06pm last night.
Thursday, July 18, 7.05am: A male patient in his teens was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with neck and knee injuries after falling while hiking the Mount Ngungun Summit Track at 5.31pm yesterday.
Thursday, July 18, 6.15am: Almost 1100 Energex customers were without power at Noosa Heads.
The electricity provider’s website said the cause was under investigation.
Wednesday, July 17, 1.30pm: Paramedics transported one stable patient to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle and bicycle incident on Frasco Court and Tanah Street West at Mount Coolum at 12.02pm.
Tuesday, July 16, 3.55pm: Multiple paramedics were at the scene of a serious incident involving a cyclist and a bus on Jingellic Drive, Buderim, this afternoon.
Two patients were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the incident.
A teenage male, struck by the bus, was in a life-threatening condition and a man was in a stable condition.
Tuesday, July 16, 2pm: One stable patient was transported to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition following a boating incident at Lake Borumba at 12.24pm.
Tuesday, July 16, 7.50am: The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a teenage male to hospital last night, after he injured his foot while operating a dozer.
The crew was called out just after 5pm to a private rural property in the Somerset region, and landed after dark in a paddock.
Two police vehicles illuminated a landing area using high-beam headlights. The Rural Fire Brigade also attended the incident.
It is believed the boy was operating the dozer when he jumped off and caught his foot on an attachment, suffering a significant injury.
Paramedics treated the patient on scene before he was loaded onto the helicopter by the LifeFlight aeromedical crew. He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Monday, July 15, 4.15pm: Mount Ngungun in the Glass House Mountains National Park has been temporarily closed.
The closure has been put in place by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service due to the potential risk of a serious rockfall at one of the mountain’s rock-climbing areas.
The closure applies to all permit holders and rock climbers/abseilers, and to all other visitors to the affected area.
Rangers were on site on Monday, to assess the matter and place appropriate notices on affected walking tracks and public areas.
The duration of Mount Ngungun’s temporary closure is unknown, however members of the public are advised to monitor QPWS’ Park Alerts webpages for ongoing information.
Park vandals were recently warned of the serious penalties they face, after damage and graffiti was found at the popular peak.
Monday, July 15, 1.55pm: A stable patient with arm and leg injuries was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a vehicle and moped crash on Ocean Street at Maroochydore at 12.04pm.
Monday, July 15, 10.55am: A stable patient with chest injuries was transported to Nambour Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Eumundi Kenilworth and West Eumundi Roads at Eeerwah Vale at 9.02am.
Monday, July 15, 10.50am: A man involved in a quad motorcycle crash is now in a serious condition.
The 55-year-old was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, initially in a critical condition with life-threatening chest and back injuries, after a crash at a private property at Eumundi at 3.45pm yesterday.
Sunday, July 14, 6.15pm: The Sunshine Coast based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has located a broken down vessel 32 kilometres off the coast.
The crew was tasked, at about 8.30am by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, after it was alerted to an Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB).
It is believed the vessel had engine troubles, and two adults set off the EPIRB.
The crew was able to communicate the location of the vessel to water police and Coast Guard, who towed the boat back to the Sunshine Coast.
The crew was later tasked to airlift two motocross riders in separate accidents.
The first was a teenage boy who broke his leg after crashing his bike while riding in a forest in the Gympie region, at about 11am.
The second was a man, aged in his 20s, who crashed his bike at a motocross park on the Sunshine Coast. He suffered chest and head injuries.
Both were treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor and paramedics, before being airlifted separately to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Saturday, July 13, 7.30am: One stable male patient in his 20s with a shoulder injury was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a single-vehicle rollover on the Sunshine Motorway southbound at Pacific Paradise at 2.50am.
