A caravan park that has been owned by the same family for the past 40 years is being offered for sale.

The Sunseeker Village and Caravan Park at Little Mountain is being sold by JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group via an expressions of interest campaign.

The 4.42-hectare (11-acre) site enjoys almost 100 per cent occupancy throughout the year.

The village occupies about two-thirds of the property, with the back third providing the possibility for the new owners to expand the park, subject to council approval.

“Despite the extensive infrastructure already in place, a considerable portion of the site remains primed for development,” JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group vice-president Mark Walsh said.

“This offers excellent opportunities for the expansion of the existing park by introducing higher-yielding accommodation for which there is proven demand.”

JLL Hotels and Hospitality senior vice-president Gareth Closter said he expected strong interest in the property, which is being sold for the first time in its history.

“Sunseeker Village represents a generational opportunity to acquire an established village in the beautiful and high-demand Sunshine Coast region, and with significant developments close by such as Aura Caloundra South and the rail line connecting the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Brisbane, we expect this campaign will generate substantial interest,” he said.

Mr Walsh added: “Caloundra starts a very well-known stretch on the Sunshine Coast that includes other popular destinations such as Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum Beach and Noosa, which makes the location of the village an enviable one.”

It is the second caravan park in the Caloundra area to hit the market recently, with the Golden Beach Holiday Park also being offered via an initial expressions of interest campaign.

The caravan park occupies more than four hectares at Little Mountain.

The EOI campaign closes on Wednesday, May 22, if not sold prior.
