Lotto players on the Coast are again being urged to check their tickets, after a local news agency sold a winning ticket worth $1.25 million last weekend.

The player held one of the eight division one-winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4377, drawn on Saturday.

The winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way to contact the winner to break the exciting news and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

The division one-winning entry was purchased at Noosa Office Choice, 107 Poinciana Avenue, Tewantin.

It comes just days after a local store syndicate pocketed a $2 million lotto prize.

The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said he looked forward to uniting the region’s latest division one winner with their Saturday Gold Lotto loot.

“It’s likely our latest winner is going about their week as normal with no idea they’ve won division one,” he said.

“How life-changing would it be to discover you’ve taken home $1.25 million with a single Saturday Gold Lotto ticket?

“Your plans and dreams for the rest of the year and beyond would certainly change with that prize in your bank account.

“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox, because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize too.”

Last week’s store syndicate win was sold at Cotton Tree News at Maroochydore.

The syndicate held one of the 15 division one-winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4375. Its System 8 QuickPick entry also scored division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering the group’s total windfall to $2,011,125.05.

Each of the seven syndicate members received a share worth $287,303.58.

In 2022, more than $4.14 billion in prize money was handed out from games at The Lott, including Saturday Gold Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s Official Lotteries contributed more than $1.6 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.

If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.
