The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a serious traffic crash left a woman critically injured.
Police said initial investigations indicated a grey Suzuki Ingnis crashed into a tree on Woombye Palmwoods Road at Palmwoods just before 10am on Thursday.
The sole occupant, a 62-year-old Palmwoods woman, was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The road was closed for about an hour and has since reopened.
Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information or footage of the incident is urged to contact police.
