A new food offering has opened at one of the Sunshine Coast’s busiest tourist stops.

Burger and Pizza Co. has begun trading at the Banana Bender Pub on Downunder Drive in Palmview.

Banana Bender Pub general manager Jenny Howell said Burger and Pizza Co. was committed to celebrating Sunshine Coast’s rich local produce.

“We’re thrilled to unveil Burger and Pizza Co. as the newest addition to the Banana Bender Pub family,” Ms Howell said.

“Our aim is to create a space where everyone can come together and enjoy quality food in a relaxed setting.

“Supporting local suppliers is at the heart of what we do. It’s about giving back to the community and showcasing the incredible flavours the Sunshine Coast has to offer.”

Sourdough pizza bases are naturally fermented for 48 hours, while burgers are built from scratch.

“Partnering with Burger and Pizza Co. is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the value of local, sustainably produced meat,” Maleny Buffalo owner Michael Thompson said.

“Maleny Buffalo is renowned for our nutrient-rich buffalo meat, raised right here in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

“Our commitment to quality and ethical farming makes us an ideal producer for venues that prioritise freshness and flavour.”

Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) CEO Matt Stoeckel said Burger and Pizza Co. was a welcome addition to the region’s food scene.

“Burger and Pizza Co. brings a great new dining option for locals and visitors,” he said.

“Their commitment to local producers and quality is a perfect fit for the kind of sustainable tourism growth we’re building here on the Sunshine Coast.”

Burger and Pizza Co. is open 11am to 8pm, seven days a week.
