Police have charged a man following investigations into a fatal traffic crash on the Sunshine Coast.

The driver of a Mitsubishi Fuso truck, a 56-year-old Rosemount man, was issued a Notice to Appear on April 4.

He has been charged with one count of driving a motor vehicle while relevant drug is present.

The man is due to appear before Caloundra Magistrates Court on April 23.
