A truck laden with concrete blocks has ploughed into multiple vehicles, losing its haul across a hilly road.
Emergency services responded to the incident on Tantula Road East at Alexandra Headland at peak hour on Thursday morning.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said the truck caused significant damage.
“It was carrying Besser blocks and it collided with multiple vehicles. It’s gone over an embankment. It’s had a diesel leak as well,” they said.
“It’s taken out about 11 different vehicles, so our crews went around and made sure all of those vehicles were safe, disconnecting batteries so fires won’t start.”
The aftermath was captured on video by Michael Harvey, with footage showing a trail of damage left in the truck’s wake.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesperson said no one was seriously hurt.
“It sounds like it (the truck) has rolled backwards down a road,” they said.
“We had a look over the occupant of the truck, who had some minor injuries and he declined transport to hospital.”
