A new purpose-built golf academy has opened on the Sunshine Coast, offering coaching from an expert who has worked extensively with touring professionals.

The Dom Azzopardi Golf Academy officially opened at Peregian Springs Golf Club on February 18 and will cater for beginners through to elite players.

Founder and head coach Dom Azzopardi is regarded as one of Australia’s leading golf coaches and has worked with professionals and elite amateurs in Australia and internationally, including LIV Tour player Lucas Herbert – who attended the opening event – and LPGA Tour player Karis Davidson.

The academy features indoor and outdoor training spaces equipped with swing analysis technology including launch monitors, high-speed video and data-driven coaching tools.

“My goal has always been to create a place where golfers feel inspired, supported and challenged, whether they’re picking up a club for the first time or competing on the world stage,” Mr Azzopardi said.

“To do that here at Peregian Springs, in partnership with such a great club, is something I’m incredibly proud of.”

The academy offers services including private lessons, junior development programs, elite performance coaching, women’s beginner and intermediate clinics, and custom practice programs tailored to individual goals.

Coaching alongside Mr Azzopardi are fellow PGA professionals Jake Killeen and Regan McGovern.

The academy has partnered with Peregian Springs Golf Club to provide players with access to one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier golf courses.
