Meanwhile, a blaze has caused extensive damage to a large building in an industrial precinct.

A QFD spokesperson said five crews attended the fire at a 80m x 60m commercial shed at Altona Avenue at Kunda Park on Friday night, at about 8.45pm.

“It was well involved when they got there,” they said.

“The fire on the lower lever was out when they got there and they made access to the mezzanine level to extinguish it.

“It was contained by about 10pm and out by about 10.45pm, with one crew remaining to dampen out hot spots.”

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the fire was investigated.

“Emergency services were called to a business on Altona Avenue after a security guard reported the building was on fire.”

“A crime scene was declared before investigators returned to the scene the following morning and deemed the cause of the fire non-suspicious.”
