Two people were safely brought down from the Mountain View Lookout Track in the Glass House Mountains on January 31 after becoming stuck.

Queensland Fire Department crews were called in shortly after midday, with two mountain rescue teams deployed.

A QFD spokesperson told SCN that one team reached the summit and made their way to the pair from there, while the second team used ropes to access them.

Rescuers were able to reach the climbers just after 4pm and guided them down the mountain.

The pair were handed over to Queensland Ambulance Service after 6pm. Both were assessed at the scene and found to be uninjured, with neither requiring paramedic treatment. QAS later confirmed the pair did not need further care.
