A dentist who offers his services on the Sunshine Coast has earned national recognition at one of the profession’s most prestigious events.
Dr Paul Greham was named the Australian Implantologist of the Year 2025 at the Australian Dentistry Awards in Melbourne last month, standing out from more than 80 nominations assessed by a panel of expert peers from across the country.
The accolade recognises excellence in dental implantology and advanced oral surgery, and highlights Dr Greham’s growing reputation as a leader in his field.
“I am so humbled and grateful to have been recognised as Australian Implantologist of the Year,” Dr Greham said.
“As a local Sunshine Coast dentist, it was an amazing feeling to be bestowed such an honour by a panel of judges made up of my peers.”
Dr Greham provides visiting specialist dental implant and ‘all-on-X’ services at Sunrise Dental Care in Sunrise Beach, where he attends monthly on Saturdays.
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Liverpool in 2004, Dr Greham has completed thousands of hours of advanced training in surgical and implant dentistry. His qualifications include a postgraduate certificate in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine from the University of South Wales, and he is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in dental implantology through the University of Greater Manchester.
With more than 20 years of surgical experience, Dr Greham is widely regarded as an authority in dental implantology and advanced oral surgery. His work is focused exclusively on implant dentistry, with a particular passion for ‘all-on-4’ full-arch rehabilitation, dental implants and bone and gum grafting.
He has placed thousands of dental implants throughout his career and is known for his precision, methodical approach and ability to manage complex cases. His expertise has also seen him appointed as a clinical instructor and lecturer for Neoss and Neodent implant systems across Australia, Asia and Europe.
Beyond technical skill, Dr Greham is recognised for his calm, approachable manner and is frequently sought out by nervous patients.
He also works with a talented team of assistants, who he paid tribute to after his award win.
“An extra special thanks to all of the wonderful and talented dental assistants that I work alongside at each location,” he said.
“Dentistry is a team event and we definitely can’t do it without your help and support.
“Standing on the stage was the culmination of 20 years of hard work and dedication to the craft, and I am as passionate about implantology today as I was 19 years ago when I placed my first implant.”
