A Sunshine Coast woman is celebrating a miraculous festive season after winning almost $1 million.

The Maroochydore mother won $936,000 in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4637 on December 27.

She was shocked when she received a phone call from The Lott.

“Oh my God,” she said to the representative.

“That’s unbelievable. That’s very good news. That’s made my day.

“I was just sitting here watching the news and trying to pick a recipe for a salad for dinner. We’ve got family here and having a very special Christmas.”

The woman revealed her plans for the money.

“We’ll pay off the mortgage and go from there,” she said.

“I’m very happy. I may not be screaming but I’m jumping up and down on the inside.

“My blood’s flowing pretty fast. I can feel my blood pressure rising. You just never expect it to happen to you.”

Her winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app.

The winning numbers were 26, 20, 40, 3, 5 and 28, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 42.

There were seven division one winning entries across the country.
