Police are investigating a traffic incident in Buderim early this morning.

Around 1am, police and emergency services responded to reports that two vehicles had been damaged from projectiles believed to have been thrown onto Maroochydore Road from the Jones Road overpass.

A 45-year-old man, the driver and sole occupant of a white Western Star truck, sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital as a precaution.
