The woman, in her 70s, suffered significant injuries in the incident at a private property at Conondale, west of Maleny, on Tuesday afternoon.

A LifeFlight helicopter was tasked to the scene by Retrieval Services Queensland at 2.30pm and landed in a clearing nearby.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the woman for head, leg and hand injuries.

She was then flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
