Two teens have been injured, one of them seriously, after a backyard fire incident last night.

Paramedics responded about 6.30pm to reports of an incident at a private address at Sunshine Beach.

One male patient in his teens with significant facial, chest and lower leg burns was airlifted by helicopter to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.

One male patient in his teens was road transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with burns to his face and arm. This patient was transported in a stable condition.
