Chocoholics will soon be able to “choose their own adventure” when a popular Coast chocolate retailer opens a new concept store in early August.

Despite current challenges with cocoa supply and pricing, Noosa Chocolate Factory is set to open the doors to the new store at Sunshine Plaza, doubling its retail footprint at the busy shopping precinct.

The retailer also plans to open a second Brisbane store at Westfield Chermside, to build on the success of its flagship city store in Adelaide Street.

General manager Nick Southon said despite rising global chocolate prices, the local chocolatier would not compromise on cocoa content or quality.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our customers,” he said.

“Every time they choose to buy local chocolate, they’re creating a ripple effect – supporting not just us but the local producers behind our ingredients.

The new concept store, where patrons can literally choose their own hot chocolate adventure, is set to open early August.

“There’s never been a better reason to feel good about indulging in chocolate.”

The new Maroochydore concept store will be located near Coles and open daily.

It will be stocked weekly directly from the chocolatier’s Noosa factory, where all products are handcrafted using as many local and Queensland ingredients as possible, including macadamias and mangos.

It will offer hot chocolates infused with any flavour from the chocolatiers “slabs”, including mango, raspberry, caramel, turkish delight, sea salt, rum and raisin, pineapple, peppermint and more.

Noosa Chocolate Factory was established in 2009 and specialises in the local production of panned, slab and moulded chocolates. Patrons of the new concept store will also be able to create their own personalised hampers.

“By adding a second location in the Sunshine Coast it allows us to bring the Noosa Chocolate Factory experience to more customers – particularly as demand for our gifting range and beverages continues to grow,” Mr Southon said.

“Sunshine Plaza is a key retail destination on the Coast and we’re excited to open early each day so customers can enjoy a barista-made coffee or one of our ‘choose your own adventure’ hot chocolates before they start their morning.”
