Two people have been taken to hospital – one in a potentially life-threatening condition – after a crash early this morning.

Paramedics were called to the single-vehicle crash on Woombye Palmwoods Road, Palmwoods, at 3.58am.

Both patients had to be freed from the vehicle by emergency services after being entrapped, before they were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

A man in his 20s was in a potentially life-threatening condition with significant head injuries.

A woman in her 20s was in a stable condition with abdominal and pelvic injuries.

Queensland Police were also called to the incident and said investigations were ongoing.
