Police are appealing for public assistance as part of an ongoing investigation into a traffic crash in Maryborough that injured a Sunshine Coast woman.

Just after noon on June 27, a blue Hyundai Getz travelling north on the Bruce Highway collided with a Western Star truck towing timber near the intersection with Alma Street.

The driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, a 54-year-old Maroochydore woman, was transported to the Maryborough Hospital for treatment.

The truck driver, a 52-year-old Southside man, was not physically injured.

Wide Bay Burnett Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the Hyundai prior to the crash to come forward.
