A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following a three-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway yesterday, with police now appealing for dashcam footage of the incident.

Police were called about 4.15pm to reports of a crash in the southbound lanes of the highway about 2km south of the Roys Road on-ramp at Coochin Creek.

A black Subaru Impreza was allegedly travelling at speed and driving dangerously through traffic before crashing into a silver Holden Captiva and white Isuzu D-Max.

No one was injured in the crash.

The passenger of the Subaru remained at the scene but the driver was allegedly picked up in a passing vehicle, believed to be a white single-cab utility with aluminium tray similar to a Holden Rodeo or Toyota HiLux, and drove away from the scene.

The driver of the Subaru was allegedly dropped off at a service station on the Bruce Highway in Glass House Mountains.

Police were called to that business about 4.30pm after reports a boy had been involved in a physical altercation.

The driver of the Subaru, a 17-year-old Caboolture boy, was arrested at the service station about 5pm. He was later released from custody as investigations continue.

The unknown car left before police arrived.

The Subaru has been towed to a police facility for forensic examination.

Police are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage of the crash, and the moments leading up to the crash, to contact police. Police are also appealing to anyone with information about the unknown car that reportedly picked up the Subaru driver.
