A medical imagining company is expanding its footprint on the Sunshine Coast, adding six new locations to its local healthcare offering.
Since its establishment in 2007, Sunshine Coast Radiology has built a reputation in diagnostic imaging, supporting the community with high-quality, patient-centred care.
With the recent integration of six former X-Ray & Imaging sites, Sunshine Coast Radiology now offers 13 clinics throughout the Coast.
These clinics at Beerwah, Caloundra, Coolum, Cooroy, Kawana and Maroochydore were previously grouped under Sunshine Coast Radiology’s sister brand.
The growth represents significant progress in the delivery of imaging services, with the company committed improving access, convenience and continuity of care for patients and referrers.
The integration follows the opening of the company’s new state-of-the-art facility at the Noosa Civic Medihub last year.

Sunshine Coast Radiology general manager Sharon Hinchley said this evolution is all about better meeting the needs of a growing and dynamic region.

“Our focus has always been on providing timely, accurate and compassionate care,” Ms Hinchley said.
“By bringing together both our imaging brands under the Sunshine Coast Radiology banner, we’re now able to offer patients and referrers more locations, more services and easier access — with the same trusted team they’ve come to know.”

Sunshine Coast Radiology’s network now stretches from Noosa to Beerwah, offering general X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, advanced MRI, nuclear medicine, PET-CT and interventional procedures.
Ms Hinchley said with more practices located in key suburbs across the Coast, patients can access appointments sooner and closer to home — a critical advantage in healthcare today.
“This consolidation means we can align technology and protocols across all sites, streamlining care and making it easier for patients to move between clinics when needed,” she said.
“At the same time, we’ve retained the local staff and expertise from each of the practices, so patients will still see the same friendly faces — just with the added benefit of improved coordination and resources.”

For referring doctors and specialists, the expanded network also brings enhanced efficiency and connectivity, with a single point of contact for bookings, image access and clinical communication.
Ms Hinchley said the decision to unite these practices under the Sunshine Coast Radiology name reflected a more integrated, patient-friendly healthcare model for the region.
“Our patients are at the heart of everything we do,” she said.
“This evolution allows us to grow with our community while continuing to deliver the expert care we’re known for.”
